Driver and Helper Responsibilities
Drivers are not permitted to used any type of texting or typing tool while driving. Not only is this a company policy, but the federal govt. This fine is soley the driver's responsibility.
Driver's Pay: $12-$15 plus tips
Helper's Pay: $8-$12 plus tips
All deductions for damages etc. will be taken out of pay.
You will be paid for the same number of hours that we bill for on the contract.
Tips will be divided evenly among all who worked a job assuming that all employees were there the entire time.
Any trash or items left in the truck may be charged a disposal fee to the driver.
The driver is the leader of each job/truck.
The driver must always have the following tools and supplies. It is their responsibility to provide and pay for these. (Put your name on them)
Phillips and Flat head Screwdriver
Pliers
Set of Allen Wrenches
Broom
The driver will be given an unlimited supply of the following to be paid for by the company. The driver is responsible for making the company aware if they are lacking in any of the following. Each truck should have:
20 Pads
20 Bungies
1 Hand truck
2 Dollies
1 Shrink wrap full roll
2 pens
10 Business cards
1 Oil
Drivers are responsible for any damage done to the truck or to any item hit by the truck (mailboxes, fences) . It is your responsibility to check your truck each morning for any new damage if someone else took out your truck for some reason. Report any new damage to the manager to clear you of blame.
It is the driver’s responsibility to get accurate information when collecting payment.
DAMAGES
All damages that result from an employee not following the company policies on protecting furniture and walls will be charged to the employees that worked that job. These charges will be divided evenly among the employees on that job and taken out of their paycheck. The amount deducted from the employees check will never be more than the amount they earned on that job.
All soft furniture must be shrink wrapped.
All furniture must be pad wrapped.
All furniture with doors or drawers must be rubber banded or padded and taped or wrapped with stretch film.
All mattresses must be shrink wrapped.
All lamps are to be pad wrapped.
All entry ways should have a pad down
All furniture dollied on it’s side must have protection on the tongue of the dolly
Any customer that wants to waive these precautions must sign off.
A driver is never to back the truck up without a helper behind him.
A driver is never to get on the grass of a property without first getting a signed waiver from property owner.
Remember to take precaution and care. There is a very good reason why "Better safe than sorry" has become the cliche it is.
Write Ups and Discipline Policy
In general: All aspects of the Discipline policy will go as follows:
This scale is based on a 60 day period and each 60 days without a write up will wipe the slate clean.
The one exception to the 60 day rule is write ups for safety. Any 4 write ups for safety issues will cause termination

Tardiness:

No Call, No Show:

You are scheduled to work and you just don't show/call. |
Unwilling to Work:

Refusing additional work on a workday. |
Poor Appearance

Not wearing required uniform or having poor hygiene. |
Billing Errors:
|
Incorrectly billing the customer. |
Safety Lapses:
|
Failure to follow safe work practises. |
Poor Quality:
|
Not following procedure to protect customer's belongings. |
Poor Attitude:
|
General rudeness to fellow employees or customers. |
Unauthorized use of company property:
|
Using truck or other company assets for personal reasons. |
